Words Matter In Time

Where you are now, right now, IS the most important place YOU could be
AdeleRoberts wisdom

Hi there Freedom Nation United:

As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in the post Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower .

(Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)

I was thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit you, the reader of this Blog Post.

Then, as if from out of nowhere, came a snatch of the lyrics from a song. It said “Time, Time, Time – look what’s become of me; As I look around – at my possibilities” [click to listen] and today’s theme became obvious. Since the most valuable of ALL assets is time I decided to ask YOU, my friends, what are the words you use in relation to your time. Now words matter, because words turn into matter, so it is critical to our sense of inner peace that we address our time, how we talk about it, how we THINK about it, appropriately.

Funny how it always seems to work that way. That the inspiration for the message shows up as a gift.

Co-incidence? I don’t think so

What did he say?

There is one asset that has been gifted to YOU and every person on the planet in equally measured quantities ==> TODAY

Time is our only non-renewable asset.

You can always make another dollar . You can never make another minute.

What can we do with our time? The answer is in our language

1. WE can KILL time.

2. WE can WASTE time

3. WE can SPEND time, or

4. WE can INVEST time.

My Challenge to all of us today is:

Look at what we are doing with, and thinking about, our time

Be honest!

1. Don’t kill it

2. Reduce the situations where we waste it

3. Spend it on things that enrich our souls and the souls of others we love, AND

4. Always BE ALERT for opportunities to invest it.

So here’s a short exercise:

1. Write down the dollar value you would expect to be compensated for your next year on the planet

2. Divide by 200 to get an hourly rate

3. Choose a single one hour activity that you do regularly

4. Ask yourself how will that return to you a greater value than the amount you came up with in step 2.

5. Decide whether you need any changes based on your answer to step 4.

6. Implement!

Oh, and by the way,

Thank you for the time you invested with me today

But don’t just take it from me…

You can tell Infinite Intelligence – Paul Simon , The Bangles and Steven Covey sent you!

For myself, I hope that today’s post has, in some way, encouraged you – Dear Reader – to improve your relationship with time. As recommended by the great Steven Covey, Invest your time on the important and not urgent for it is there that your greatest return on investment will be found.

See you on our next blog

  1. It must be something in the air. This is the 3rd blogging I’ve read on TIME and it matches my own blog today. I blogged about Scheduling the Big Rocks! Yes, Steven Covey inspired me today as well.

I think there is a message out there me! Thanks for the reinforcement.

Heather: Isn’t it wonderful how the Universe Works. It brings together the like-minded so that its message can be amplified. We are only its mouthpiece. I will certainly be checking out your Big Rocks – because – YOU ROCK! The journey continues! 🙂

Very “timely” reminder Peter. I need to strat thinking more about how I use my time and get the best value out of the day. Thank you.

Yes Helen – treating my time investments the same as I would a daily windfall of $1440 (# of minutes in a day) was one idea I received along the way…
