Practice Does NOT Make Perfect

For The Freedom CREATIVITY Mindset it is about ‘Pride Of Authorship’
NOT ‘Pride Of Ownership’

Hi there Freedom Nation United:

As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in the post Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower .

(Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)

I was thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit you, the reader of this Blog Post.

I had been sharing mind yesterday with my good friend and mentor Phil McGarvey. We had been reflecting on the great results that are showing up for each of us as we each have been, as Napoleon Hill taught, “demanding of ourselves persistent continuous action towards the attainment of our PURPOSE

I have also been Masterminding on a weekly basis with the GREAT David Craft sharing mind and ice cream at the Golf outlet that is local to our weekly FINatics TTDE Event.

This combination lead me directly to the lesson taught by today’s post – “Practice Does Not Make Perfect”

Co-incidence? I don’t think so

🙂

So why are we talking golf, you might ask?

Well, actually, the purpose here is more about life lessons that the game of golf teaches…

🙂

So, Are You Sitting Comfortably?
Let’s Begin

Practice Does NOT Make PERFECT

Practice… Does… Not… Make… Perfect

What did he say?

The golfing great, Lee Trevino, is quoted as having said

“There is no such thing as a natural touch. Touch is something you create by hitting millions of golf balls.”

There is a great lesson to be learned from this.

Whenever we look at the masters in any walk of life we would care to pursue whether it be sports, entertainment, business… anything we look at the practitioners and say to ourselves “wow – that looks easy – I wish I could be like him”

Well the truth is… WE CAN!

🙂

How can I make this assertion, you ask?

Well, it’s actually quite simple.

It’s not practice that makes perfect

It’s perfect practice….

Applied…

Over

And Over

And Over

Again.

🙂

So, dear reader, the question to be asked is “what will you give up to become as accomplished as you need to be, to reach the level you wish to reach?”

You see, Lee Trevino, simply put, was willing to discipline himself to do what most could, but wouldn’t, do.

Worthwhile accomplishment in anything is a “pay it ahead” game!

But don’t just take it from me… You can tell Infinite Intelligence – Lee Trevino, Phil McGarvey and Jon Lavin sent you!

Great post Peter. I also like the quote that it’s easy to do something, but it is also easy not to do it! Jim Rohn, I think.
