We MUST Outgrow Our Tent

Everything is ENERGY. WE get to CHOOSE where that energy
is both attrACTed AND directed to. Choose Wisely.

Welcome, my friend, to FREEDOM NATION UNITED, where we help families to FIND Money, CREATE Income and DEVELOP Generational Wealth – for themselves, their families and those they love and care about.

This is the home of the REAL PEOPLE HELPING REAL PEOPLE Leadership Development program

As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in the post Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower .

(Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)

I was thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit you, the reader of this Blog Post.

Then, as if on cue, I was drawn to reflect on the inspiring time I am having at the Philadelphia Area Leadership Conference this week-end.  Investing time in the company of so many of my friends and colleagues who are, like me, on the crusade of teaching regular families to find money, create income and develop generational wealth for themselves and the people they love and care about.

I got to thinking of the personal growth that the people I met up with there had undertaken along their journeys. I thought of my friend Jean-Phillipe (J-P) Fechner, who turned his upbringing in Haiti and his familiarity with multiple languages into a way to communicate with even more people. I thought of the great Granville Goldsmith, who has become such a positive role-model to the people he serves and the teams he has built and is continuing to build. I thought of our friend and mentor, Jon Lavin, and the decision he made and shared with me that inspired me to take on the mantle of self-development that our undertaking would require.

I thought of how each of us at that conference had been called upon to OUTGROW OUR TENT.

Funny how it always seems to work that way. Co-incidence? I don’t think so 🙂

You see, I believe that one of the questions I must pose to myself EVERY day is

To what extent am I outgrowing my tent?

How about you?

Are you outgrowing your tent.

May-be you, dear reader, are asking the more basic question:

:-)What is “outgrowing your tent” anyway? :-)

I see it as being when you grow so much as a person that you feel ‘held back’ by your personal environment.

By the people you associate with. By the things you feed your mind. By the actions you choose to take (or not to take). By recognizing some of the self-imposed limitations of your belief system about yourself. etc.

It’s like when a caterpillar morphs into a butterfly.

Are you with me so far?

:-)  Let me offer some examples from experiences in my life: :-)

When I coached Youth Soccer at the Club level I benefited from the efforts of coaches Don Courtney and Bill DeMarco who taught soccer and developed players from the “B”-team so well that the players finally outgrew their tent.

For my part, my role as the “A”-team coach was to develop club players so they outgrow their tent to compete at the district level or in the Olympic Development program.

I also watched from the sidelines as High School Girl soccer players like Stephanie Fravel outgrew their tents and competed on boys teams.

:-)  In the World Of Music: :-)

Did not Elvis outgrow his tent?

Did not Sting outgrow his “Police” tent?

Did not each of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison outgrow the “Beatles” tent?

Has not Madonna outgrown enough tents for the Red Cross to put her on their “most-wanted” list?

:-)  In the World of Professional Sports: :-)

Did not their development into Global Brand “superstars” at Manchester United cause David Beckham, and, later, Christiano Ronaldo to outgrow their tent?

:-)  In the World of Business: :-)

Did not Art Williams and his team of 84, mostly High School Coaches, outgrow their tent? Their friends, families and associates must have considered them crazy when they took on the World’s largest industry. When they, instead, represented and educated middle income America to help them wealth with their “buy term, invest the difference” crusade.

What about Muhammed Ali? What about Martin Luther King?

I humbly submit the truth of the Resurrection as another example of Christ the mortal outgrowing the limitations of the tent of his human body.

:-)  And the list goes on… :-)

For myself, I pray that I have tents yet to grow out of and into.

Is outgrowing your tent comfortable? HELL NO! Is it natural? HELL YES!

How about you, my friend,

Can you feel YOUR canvas stretching?

But don’t just take it from me…

You can tell Infinite Intelligence – J-P Fechner, Jon Lavin, Granville Goldsmith, David Beckham, Elvis, and Art Williams sent you!

For myself, I hope that today’s post has, in some way, encouraged you – Dear Reader – to look into ways to outgrow YOUR tent. To stretch beyond the fabric of the environment that has limited you to a ‘comfort zone’ of its choosing. You are, should YOU choose to accept it, destined for greater things!

I definitely outgrow my tent because I blog in a language I only learnt in evening school and by myself. I never lived in an English speaking country.

And, Bruno, may I say as someone being taught by your blogs, that you learned well and do it magnificently… So let me encourage you to be always on the look-out for bigger and better tents to grow into… Namaste, my friend, I bow to the wisdom of the Spirit within you. prp
