As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in the post Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower .

(Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)

I was thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit you, the reader of this Blog Post.

I thought that, just for today, I would provide a little light relief to our world.

After all, as a great example to me, Dee Gabinet, once taught me. “If you’re not having fun, Peter, you’re not doing it right” – to which I later added “or you’re doing the wrong thing”

So let me offer us all a sort of ‘memory-jogger’ to jump start positivity into our days.

On a Daily Basis.

How about using the name of the day as the basis for this mental exercise?

Just as the Book Of Proverbs has 31 Chapters –

which allows me to just look at a Calendar and I will have a place to turn to

for Spiritual nourishment…

So it is with the days of the week…

🙂

Let’s turn them into reminders of what we have just by using the letters.

Funny how when we are actively seeking the answer always seems to show up. It always seems to work that way.

May-be there is something to this “Sermon on the Mount” thing – Ask and It Is Given unto you.

But that, Dear Reader, is for you to decide.

Here’s what I came up with

Monday – Move Over Negativity – Didn’t Ask You

Sure beats “Manic Monday” – although I loved that song – and also reminds me of the need to just say “STOP IT” to any internal (and external) negativity that may have intruded on my mind-set!

Tuesday – Take Up Every Sinew (to) Develop (the) Achievable You

Rudyard Kipling in his epic poem “IF” refers to “if you can force your heart and nerve and sinew; to serve your turn long after they are gone”. Now I just have to find mine! Everything is possible. With Faith in myself I can move the mountains that weigh heavy on the Spirit.

Wednesday – With Each Day New Encounters Slay Dragons, Achieve Yearnings

This is a reminder to me that as I address my fears on a daily basis I am moving forward closer to the realization of my desires. Napoleon Hill outlines the six basic fears. They are there so I might as well acknowledge that and take up my sword of positivity. It also sure beats ‘hump day’.

Thursday – Take His Unique Rewards Sent Daily As Yours

In MY life the HE referred to is the Christ, whose gifts were given to all for all to use. But we all – Atheists, Christians, Buddhists, Agnostics alike – all have our own him or her from whom we have received – haven’t we?

Friday – Friends Remain In Discourse All Year

It sure seems like a good day to reach out to friends – old and new – to see how they are doing, to lighten their burdens just be being present together presence and knowing you each care about the other. The Girl Scouts nailed it… “Make New Friends And Keep The Old; One Is Silver And The Other Gold”. True Wealth.

Saturday – Such A Tremendously Uplifting Reward Deserves A Yell

What is your reward? Not going to your daily 9-5, sleeping in, playing with your children who are not at school, avoiding your children because they are not at school. Whatever you see as an uplifting reward for you granted by that day, yell a thank you in your bathroom mirror. Carpe Diem!

Sunday – Soak Up Nutrition Develop Active Youth

While this is inspired, I confess, by the many Wellness Warriors I am hooked up with, and from whom I have heard the nutrition message loud and clear – it seems an appropriate reminder for THE day that has historically been one of over-indulgence and less than positive nutrition. Nutrition comes in many forms – spiritual, mental, physical etc. Seek it out and soak it in…

So there we have it. That’s just me. I encourage you to have fun developing your own insights.

Namaste. I bow to the wisdom of the Spirit within you…
