The Power Of Persistent Listening

The “JOB Nightmare” was created by Companies FOR Companies.

🙂

As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in the post Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower .

(Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)

I was thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit you, the reader of this Blog Post.

Suddenly it hit me like the proverbial ton-of-bricks.

We have recently, in our “Timeless Wisdom In Action” conference calls been Masterminding on the role IMAGINATION plays as a tool on our journey to riches. We were harmoniously taking advantage of the amplified power of thought emanating from the call, for reasons explained by Andrew Carnegie as he passed the torch of his success philosophy to Napoleon Hill (<–click to read more)

NOTHING NEW IN THAT, you might say…

I recalled a similar study with my “We Are Think And Grow Rich” buddies, as the same topic was being covered,  when before we got into the topic, Paul Hutchings – our discussion Leader and Master of Ceremonies, thought to share his story of how he had been inspired by listening AGAIN to the great Art Williams’ “ALL YOU CAN DO IS ALL YOU CAN DO – AND ALL YOU CAN DO, IS ENOUGH” speech.

He had advised us to listen to it again. So I did. Sometimes it takes being a great follower to become a great leader, you know.

🙂

In this speech ART explains how we will all, in our journeys, go through

1: The LYING stage – the 40-60 day period where we tell ourself we are going to succeed, but the voice inside us says “who are you kidding?”

2: The QUITTING stage – where people quit when they hit their first obstacles and everything seems to be harder than they were expecting.

and, for those who pass beyond stage two, there is

3: The COMMITMENT stage – where we realize that “if it was that easy everyone would be doing it”.  This is the stage where desire becomes determination and nothing will derail the pursuit of your ‘better self’.

🙂

As useful as these insights are, the “AHA” moment for yours truly – me – came when I heard Paul repeat Art’s statement that he (Art) only read “Think And Grow Rich” up to page 37 and it changed his life.

How often have I heard this story told on the many seperate occasions I have studied with Art Williams protegees…

But something in the way that Paul had told his story, caused me to give it more APPLIED THOUGHT.

This information had previously been written off in my mind as a ‘trivial detail’. After all, why would such a great and intelligent mind as that of Art Williams have quit so early in the book.

Over time, I have come to understand that there is little ‘trivial’ about a man whose ability to motivate a movement, a crusade, benefitted the lives of so many millions of people.  And still does, by the way!

So I got out again my edition of the ‘Great Book’, turned to page 37, and it read…

🙂

“Millions of people are now facing the problem of staging a come-back, because of the depression, and I speak from personal experience when I say, I know these earnest people would welcome the opportunity to tell their problems, and to receive your suggestions for the solution.”

“You know the problems of those who face the necessity of beginning all over again.  There are thousands of people in America today who would like to know how they can convert ideas into money, people who must start at scratch, without finances, and recoup their losses.  If anyone can help them, you can”

🙂

This time, though, it wasn’t Jennings Randolph writing to Napoleon Hill.

As the result of persistent, repeated study – this time it was Infinite Intelligence speaking directly TO ME.

AND as you are reading this, speaking directly through me – to YOU

There are no co-incidences – only divine appointments we set through our decisions…

IT IS UP TO YOU

so, again, don’t just take it from me.

You can tell Infinite Intelligence – Napoleon Hill, Art Williams, and the Timeless Wisdom In Action – Grow Rich Thinkers sent you! 🙂

For myself, I hope that today’s post might provide some understanding of the stages we all go through when taking action towards our definite major purpose. More importantly, when Napoleon Hill recommends persistent continuous action remember that action can be passive (as in listening to what the Universe is sending you FOR YOUR BENEFIT).

  1. Nice post Peter, thanks so much for sharing:)

Usually you need someone who can show you how to convert an idea into profit. A way that works for me, is to work with a mentor who has already achieved what I want.

  3. Great post Peter and I can relate to No 1. Thanks for sharing.
